Today, Mount Jahorina is a true paradise for lovers of winter and winter magic and one of the largest ski and winter tourist centers in the Balkans. On average, snow stays on the mountain for about 175 days a year, from November to April.

The main factors that determine the character of Jahorina’s climate are its geographical position, distance from the sea, the direction of the massif, and the altitude of 1600m. The combination of different landforms is extremely favorable for the development of winter tourism in this part of Europe.

The Jahorina ski center has been significantly improved in the last couple of years. Large investment projects included the construction of a modern snowmaking system, the landscaping of ski slopes, the construction of new ski lifts and cabin gondolas and lighting, which increased the ski resort capacities.

Jahorina boasts a state-of-the-art snowmaking system that connects the entire ski resort — 46 km of Alpine and 10 km of Nordic trails, with a total capacity of 17,000 skiers per hour.

Although Jahorina is known throughout the world for winter tourism and sports, many other types of tourism have developed on the mountain in the summer as well. Different events, seminars, conventions, schools in nature and lake tours, student road trips, sports competitions and athletes’ preparations, student events, hiking and blueberry picking all take place in Jahorina, and at the same time it is an ideal place for a relaxing vacation throughout the year.

Best restaurants, pizzerias, cafes, night clubs, sunny gardens in Jahorina, will make your stay complete with their very rich gastronomical offer. Jahorina is also known for many cozy and lovely ethno restaurants and bars, where you can enjoy traditional cuisine – prosciutto, fritter, cornbread, cheese, clotted cream and other traditional specialities

In the last few years, a lot has been done to improve the facilities that provide visitors with a pleasant and interesting stay in Jahorina throughout the year. Lovers of adrenaline and active vacations can have an unforgettable time in the Vučkolend adventure park, located next to the complex, which includes the attractions NauticJet — the longest mountain bob in Southeast Europe — and Butterfly — a zipline that stretches over the lake on the top of the mountain, as well as the Tower, Loopster, and Sky Dive attractions.

The proximity of Sarajevo and the international airport — 28 km from the center of Jahorina, where SkyHIll is located, make it appealing to tourists from all over Europe and beyond.
